Associations and Business Organizations

Check each associations web site as they have many more events than I care to list here. Some events are only open to members (as applicable) , so you might want to consider becoming one if you think you will benefit.  Some descriptions have been truncated.  Please check the Associations web site for more detailed information.

FCC – Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce –

Mission: The mission of the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce is to facilitate healthy economic growth.

Vision Statement: Our vision is to be the leader for the business community assuring that the Fredericksburg Region is a major economic center in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

FBCC – Fredericksburg Black Chamber of Commerce –

The Greater Fredericksburg Black Chamber of Commerce (formerly the Stafford Regional Black Chamber of Commerce) is an organization dedicated to empowering Black and minority-owned businesses in the Greater Fredericksburg Area. The Greater Fredericksburg area encompasses businesses located in Stafford, Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, King George, and Caroline county. Our organization was developed to build a strong Black Business community that is connected through our common interests in our community.

FABA – Fredericksburg Area Builders Association –
The Fredericksburg Area Builders Association (FABA), chartered in 1968 and incorporated in 1980 has hundreds of members both builders and associates.  With its main purpose to create and maintain a favorable climate for the growth and development of the building industry, the Fredericksburg Area Builders Association seeks to develop and maintain high professional business standards with the ultimate goal of providing home ownership to all individuals and families in our area. , FABA serves the historic Fredericksburg, VA area including the surrounding counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford, King George, Caroline, Orange and regional areas of Quantico, Dahlgren and Northern Virginia.
FRA – The Fredericksburg Regional Alliance (FRA) is a public/private economic development marketing partnership created to provide CEOs, presidents, corporate real estate executives, and site selection consultants with a single source for comprehensive demographic, economic, and commercial real estate information on the Fredericksburg, Virginia Region — which includes the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania, and Stafford
Main Street  –

MISSION – Preserve Fredericksburg’s historic fabric and rich cultural history while encouraging a thriving economic future.

VISION – Fredericksburg’s downtown is a place that balances historical identity with a strong modern presence.

UMWSBDC – The University of Mary Washington Small Business Development Center (UMWSBDC) is a resource center that provides assistance to the small business community via management training, industrial and demographic research, and confidential one-on-one consulting with a focus on capital access and management planning.
FAAR – Founded in 1957, the Fredericksburg Area Association of Realtors® is the trade association for more than 1500 Realtors® and 130 affiliate members serving the City of Fredericksburg and the counties of Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George and Caroline. Members also work in the surrounding counties of Westmoreland, Louisa, Orange, Prince William and in Northern Virginia.
VAM  Virginia Association of Museums – The organization was incorporated in 1968 as The Virginia History Federation to promote and support Virginia’s historical museums and sites; one year later it was granted 501c(3) status by the IRS. In 1978, the organization became the Virginia History and Museums Federation to reflect a broader mission including all museum disciplines.
SH3 – A Great computer company in South Stafford which prides itself on keeping your systems safe, up to date, and worry free.  We are not a 501C3 but we are inexpensive and reliable!

Masonic Lodge – One of the oldest of the Fraternal organizations –  (Free)Masonry consists of fraternal organisations that trace their origins to the local fraternities of stonemasons, which from the end of the fourteenth century regulated the qualifications of stonemasons and their interaction with authorities and clients.  Currently this organization affiliates with most professions.
Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization. Its 1.4 million members are dedicated to bettering the quality of life for the handicapped, the poor, the sick and the aged. The motto of Lions Clubs International is “WE SERVE,” and Lions live this motto with enthusiasm.
Rotary International is an international service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and to advance goodwill and peace around the world.
The Fraternal Order of Eagles is an international non-profit organization uniting fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice, and equality, to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills and promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and hope. The F.O.E.
The Fredericksburg Public Relations Society is a non-profit organization composed of public relations professionals working in the greater Fredericksburg area.
The Optimist Club is a voluntary organization of civic-minded men and women banded together to serve the community, to encourage personal development, and to adopt optimism as a philosophy of life. The majority of our programs are focused on the youth of the community. Our motto is “Friend of Youth”.
Toastmasters International (TI) is a US headquartered nonprofit educational organization that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of promoting communication, public speaking, and leadership skills.
Kiwanis of Fredericksburg – Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children.
The Christian Business Network is an international association of Christian business and ministry professionals representing a global community of marketplace ambassadors as believers in business on purpose.
Christian Women Business Organization (CWBO) is a proactive networking group of professional Christian women who own businesses, work for corporations and ministry founders. We desire to see each woman be successful. CWBO is an inviting community of professional Christian women who are mutually supportive in faith, family and business.
Chamber Network for Enterprising Women – CNEW’s mission is to offer businesswomen within the Chamber the opportunity to network with other business women, provide professional support, enhance business opportunities through educational programs, and to support Chamber programs and services.
Business Network International (BNI) is an American franchised networking organization with around 233,000 members in 8,399 local chapters worldwide. Members meet weekly to discuss business and support each other’s businesses by sharing referrals. It claims to be the world’s leading ‘referral organization’.

Next Generation of Business Leaders – Mission – To provide the opportunities for the Young Professionals in the Fredericksburg Region to engage and get involved in our community through Professional Development, Civic Outreach and Social/Business Networking activities.

Two Twelve Networking – Do you own a business? Do you SELL Something? Please join us at our next business referral meeting! At Two Twelve, we focus on passing what we call “permission based referrals”, not leads. This means that when you receive a referral, the person you are being referred to is actually EXPECTING your call. Further, you’ve been highly recommended as a quality resource. We feature prominent regional developers and community leaders, sharing insights on upcoming opportunities for design and construction companies.
We average 75 in attendance each month, and frequently sell out, so register early.

Rappahannock REIA – Real Estate Investors Association – An Association which offers Real estate education and training, Networking opportunities with real estate focused professionals and services, Marketing of your real estate investment properties in our area, Current real estate market information, Discounts to local suppliers, and so much more!

Wonder Women – Stafford – Even if your a stay at home mom, or a CEO of a huge corporation, or a single working class chic, or Boss Babe. Doesn’t matter. If you’re a woman that is looking to connect with other women then this is the group for you. We connect the world’s most positive, action-forward, amazing business women. We connect them to network together. We connect them to do business together. We connect them to encourage and push each other to the next level in all aspects of life. We connect them to build lifelong friendships and business relationships. We are all Wonder Woman!!
